THE CCMM LEGACY
From a small gathering to one of the largest men’s faith events in the country, Catholic Men’s Ministry has grown from a single vision into a movement of evangelization and formation for men across the Diocese of Columbus.

Our mission is to build the Church, starting with the man. By building men, we build the family. Strong families create strong parishes, and strong parishes result in vibrant diocese. Through strong, vibrant diocese, we build strong communities and change the world...one man at a time.
BEGINNINGS
Columbus Catholic Men’s Ministry traces its roots to the early 1990s, when a group of faithful men in the Diocese of Columbus felt called to create an opportunity for Catholic men to gather in prayer, brotherhood, and formation. Inspired by the growing men’s conference movement across the United States, they launched the first Catholic Men’s Conference in Columbus in 1998.
What began with dozens of men meeting in a parish hall grew into an annual event drawing thousands of men – fathers, sons, grandfathers, priests, and deacons – hungry to encounter Christ and strengthen their faith.
GROWTH
Over the years, the Catholic Men’s Conference has become the flagship event of the ministry. Recognized as one of the largest annual gatherings of men of faith in the nation, the Conference has welcomed internationally-known speakers, featured hundreds of faith organizations, celebrated the Eucharist through Holy Mass and Adoration, and provided thousands of opportunities for reconciliation and spiritual renewal.
More than just a yearly event, the Conference serves as the spark that ignites year-round discipleship, encouraging men to return to their families and parishes renewed in faith and ready for mission.
MINISTRY
As the Conference matured, its fruit gave rise to something greater:the Columbus Catholic Men’s Ministry (CCMM) as a diocesan-wide lay apostolate.
Today, the Ministry exists not only to host the annual Conference but also to equip men to grow in holiness through:
-
Ongoing evangelization efforts like the monthly Catholic Men’s Luncheon and the Virtual Rosary.
-
Parish outreach and formation, providing resources and support to parish captains and men’s groups.
-
Collaboration with other ministries, building a network of Catholic organizations committed to forming men of faith.
